The decision reflects mounting losses in the capital-intensive global streaming market and signals a broader shift in strategy as CANAL+ Group looks to reposition its digital entertainment platform across Africa.

As part of its African expansion, MINGO is partnering with African Boxing Union and the Yucateco Boxing League (YBL). YBL currently have 500+ annual participants, 1000+ bouts annually and ₦100M+ (USD 70K) annually in prize money.

The African startup that fused fantasy sports with pop culture announced its closure after four years in operation.
