FIFA prepares to open office in Johannesburg, South Africa

FIFA is set to open its first regional office in Southern Africa, headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, following a cooperation agreement with the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture.

The new FIFA Regional Development Office will serve South Africa and neighbouring countries, acting as a hub for football development, technical support, and capacity building across the region. FIFA will fully fund and staff the office, while the South African government will support visas, customs, and local coordination.
