Exim Bank Uganda Signs On as Official Banking Partner of the Pearl of Africa Golf Series
Exim Bank Uganda has signed on as the official banking partner of the Pearl of Africa Golf Series, reinforcing the role of financial institutions in supporting emerging sports properties in Uganda.
The tournament, which began earlier this month, brings together leading golfers and amateurs from across the country, positioning itself as a growing platform for competition and community engagement within Uganda's golf ecosystem.
As part of the agreement, Exim Bank Uganda will provide operational and on-site support, alongside tailored banking services designed to enhance the event experience for players, organisers, and spectators. The partnership also includes brand activations aimed at deepening client engagement and expanding the bank's visibility within a premium audience segment.
"We are proud to support the Pearl of Africa Golf Series, an event that celebrates talent, sportsmanship, and the vibrant golfing community in Uganda," said Primrose Kobusingye, Marketing and Communications Manager at Exim Bank Uganda. "This aligns with our commitment to engaging meaningfully with our clients and the communities we serve."
Tournament Director Paul Habyarimana added: "Their support plays a key role in elevating the tournament experience for both players and fans, and reflects the growing confidence in golf as a platform for excellence and community engagement in Uganda."
The partnership highlights a broader trend across African sports, where corporate backing is increasingly critical to the development of non-football sports properties. Golf, in particular, continues to attract interest from financial services brands seeking targeted, high-value audiences and long-term association with lifestyle and business networks.
As the Pearl of Africa Golf Series continues to scale, partnerships of this nature are expected to play a central role in shaping its commercial trajectory and positioning within the regional sports market.
