Nigeria's women's national basketball team, D'Tigress, has secured a new commercial partnership with aviation company XE Jet, which has been named the Official Aviation Partner of the team through an agreement with the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).
Under the partnership, XE Jet will provide dedicated aviation and travel logistics services for D'Tigress, supporting the team's international travel requirements and ensuring efficient transportation for competitions and training engagements. The deal represents one of the more notable aviation partnerships in African basketball and reflects growing corporate interest in supporting elite women's sports programs across the continent.
The announcement comes as Nigeria prepares to compete in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup Qualifiers in Lyon, France from March 11–17, 2026, where D'Tigress will once again represent Africa on the global stage.

As part of the partnership, XE Jet will host a Women in Sports Leadership Reception in Lyon during the qualifiers, bringing together leaders from sport, diplomacy, and business to support the continued growth of women's basketball. Over the past decade, D'Tigress has established itself as Africa's most dominant women's basketball program, winning multiple AfroBasket titles and consistently competing among the world's elite national teams.
The establishment of this partnership shows Nigeria Basketball Federation's broader strategy to expand commercial partnerships that strengthen the sport's ecosystem, enhance athlete support, and elevate Nigeria's position within global basketball.
