FIFA Increases World Cup Prize Money to $50M, 19% increase From Previous Edition

FIFA has approved prize fund of $655M. The Winner of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States will receive $50M a +19% increase from $42M in the previous edition (FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022) and 50% total increase overall in Prize Money.

TOTAL FIFA World Cup 2026 Prize Money: $655M
- Winner: $50M
- Runners-up: $33M
-Third place: $29M
- Fourth place: $27M
- Beaten quarter-finalists: $19M
- Round of 16 exits: $15M
- Round of 32 exits: $11M -33rd-48th place: $9M

Countries that fail to advance beyond the group stage will still earn $9M, and every qualified team will also receive an additional $1.5M in preparation cost for the tournament. As a result, each participating nation is guaranteed a minimum payout of $10.5M
