Casablanca City Council Create Sports Infrastructure Management Company “Casa Region Sport”

Casablanca City Council approved the creation of the new sports infrastructure management company called "Casa Région Sport".
Casa Région Sport will gradually replace Sonagres and Casa Events in managing the region's major stadiums, including the Stade Mohammed V Complex, the Larbi Zaouli Stadium and the future Hassan II Stadium which is currently under construction in Benslimane with a planned capacity of 115,000 (will be completed in 2028).
-Capital Distribution Allocation:
- Total Initial Capital Stands at MAD 20M (USD 2.1M) - 200,000 Shares @ MAD 100 each.
- Ministry of Economy and Finance - MAD 10M (USD 1M) - 50%
- Casablanca-Settat Region - MAD 4.6M (USD 500K)- 23%
- Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) MAD 3.6M (USD 390K) - 18%
- City Council of Casablanca MAD 2M (USD 216K) - 10%
The new organization, will not be responsible for local stadiums, which will be managed separately.
Similar initiatives of sports infrastructure companies are expected in other host regions like Tangier, Fez, Agadir, and Marrakech in preparation for the upcoming 2025 TotalEnergies Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) AFCON and the 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Rabat was the first region to approve the move to create a local company, with headquarters based at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
