Ghana Creates National Sports Fund to Develop Infrastructure

Ghana's Ministry of Sports and Recreation has confirmed the creation of a National Sports Fund. The fund is designed to develop infrastructure across the country from tracks and stadia to multi-purpose sports facilities, a move that will improve local sporting ecosystems and enhance facilities.

Kofi Iddie Adams, Ghana's Minister for Sports and Recreation, highlighted the multifaceted partnership during a reception hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Accra, Ghana.

Football, remains a vital link between the two nations. Ghana’s participation in the FIFA World Cup 2026™ - Canada, Mexico and the United States will see two matches hosted in U.S. cities Boston and Philadelphia.
