Sporting Lagos has named digital bank Kuda as its headline sponsor for the 2026/27 NPFL season, putting the fintech's branding on the front of both home and away jerseys for the full campaign.

It's a clean fit on paper: a digital-first bank chasing a young, mobile, football-watching audience, paired with a club that has built its brand around modern, intentional community-building. Kuda MFB — a fully digital bank built for Nigerians anywhere in the world, positioned around spending, saving, and growing money from any location — gets season-long shirt visibility plus a customer-activation pipeline. Sporting Lagos gets an anchor commercial partner aligned to its identity.

A long time coming

In 2025, the two sides released a first-ever special edition jersey featuring the Lagos map as its pattern — a nod to the city both were founded in. Those jerseys went to Kuda customers as a reward, with the package including a box seat at a Sporting Lagos game. The headline deal is the natural escalation of a relationship that began as a one-off drop and tested the audience overlap before scaling.

The shared Lagos origin is the connective tissue. Both brands were built on the belief that excellence can come from here, and that community is something you build on purpose.

The partnership runs beyond the shirt: a full season of activations and rewards aimed at both Sporting Lagos fans and Kuda customers, with more detail promised soon.

On the deal, Sporting Lagos Head of Commercial Olamide Adeyemo said:

"Kuda embodies community, excellence, and breaking boundaries. It is the perfect partner for us at Sporting Lagos. This collaboration is a huge win for our fans and the future of football from Lagos to all of Nigeria."

According to multiple reports, the 2026/27 jersey will be unveiled before the season begins.
