Soufiane El Bakkali - Moroccan Steeplechase Champion gets sponsorship with On

On has signed Moroccan steeplechase icon Soufiane El Bakkali, adding one of the most dominant distance runners of his era to its growing lineup of world-class athletes. El Bakkali famously disrupted decades of Kenyan dominance by winning Olympic gold in the 3,000m steeplechase at Tokyo 2020, becoming the first non-Kenyan champion in the event since 1980.

Since then, El Bakkali has cemented his legacy with back-to-back World Championship titles (2022, 2023) and a successful International Olympic Committee – IOC title defense at Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024, making him only the second athlete in history to win consecutive Olympic gold medals in the event.

On has been aligning with globally resonant athletes from emerging markets, most notably in Africa and deepening its credibility in elite performance running.
