Saudi Pro League Confirms Exit of Nigeria's Michael Emenalo as Chief Football Executive

The Saudi Pro League (SPL) has confirmed the conclusion of the contractual term of Michael Emenalo, its Chief Football Executive, ending a tenure defined by the launch and rollout of the league's Player Acquisition Centre of Excellence (PACE) programme.

Emenalo, the Nigerian-born former technical director at Chelsea and Monaco, was one of the highest-profile executive appointments in the SPL's aggressive push to reposition itself as a destination for elite global talent. His mandate centred on building the institutional machinery behind the league's recruitment strategy at a moment of heavy state-backed investment in the Saudi game.

In its statement, the SPL thanked Emenalo for his contribution and wished him success in his future endeavours, crediting him with bringing expertise that supported the league's transformation and its development as a destination for leading football talent.
